"The Tow" by Henry Farrer, Amer., (1843-1903) EngravingEtching, 1886, Ed. unknown, 6 x 8 3 8, signed and dated copyright 1886 in the plate, with trimmed but sufficient margins, a small spot in the sky near center, an adjacent subtle curved handling crease visible in raking light; substantially toned verso, on cream laid paper, probably Van Gelder Zonen, widely used for various publications including original etchings by American artists of the etching revival.
