The artwork depicts a drug queen from the New York nightclub named The Gilden Grape. This artwork is part of a photographic project, known as Ladies and Gentlemen, in which Warhol took photos of several Drag Queens during the 1974s. They pose in front of Warhol's lens in the poses of Hollywood stars, wearing full make up, revealing their
