Catharine Chaytor's Jarrow Toys -- 12 animals / groups, 9 slotted stands SculptureCatharine Chaytor lived from 1907 to 1983. Jarrow is a village in northeast England, located on the River Tyne. These appear to have been Catharine's toys sometime between 1912 and 1917, lovingly handmade for her from painted wood. We have a complete barnyard: cow, calf; horse, colt; sheep, lamb; cat, kittens; chicken, rooster, chicks; turkey. Twelve groups in total, with 9 slots for standing them upright. A tiny label identifies these as Catharine
